"American Falls" - [2012]
In a rural town in Southern Idaho, the Suzukis, a Japanese American family, run a small motel. One night they get a strange visitor who sports ‘city’ clothes who turns out to be the first African-American man that Toru Suzuki’s children have ever seen. Yoshiko takes it upon herself to solve the mystery about this man, especially when 2 police officers come knocking on their door.

I'm so happy that this film will soon be released. It's a great film and deserves to be seen. Vincent is awesome in it. I can't wait to see the reaction from other VDO fans. At the Toronto Int'l Film Festival (where I saw it) the audience loved this film.
I'm just glad he won at the NaFF..he deserves more recognition for his acting! I think he likes to keep a low profile though..
Looking forward to seeing this terrific film!
Just a note to say that fans of LOCI will recognize the actor who plays Mike's jilted neighborhood girlfriend in the film. It's Monica Keena who played the abused daughter Beatrice in the Season 4 episode "Death Roe". She does a great job in the film.
See my note on seeing film in Charleston last night on "early post of film being shown there." Excellent film and I just saw in our newspaper that it won the CIFF Jury Pick as Best Film. Screenwriter was there and I posted my notes on her comments on the earlier blog notice of Charleston International Film Festival.
