"Meskada" needs crew and extras, non-union actors

MESKADA is an independent feature film written and directed by Josh Sternfeld.

MESKADA tells the story of small-town detective, Noah Cordin, as he attempts to solve a juvenile homicide that occurred during a home burglary in his affluent town of Hilliard. The dead boy’s mother, Allison Connor, is a member of the Meskada County Board of Commissioners, and a powerful woman in Hilliard; and the entire township rallies together in solidarity - to support her and Detective Cordin’s efforts to find the killers. Throughout it all, Noah’s loyalties are torn between his past and his present…until the Connor murder investigation comes to a shocking climax.

MESKADA follows KNUCKLEHEAD as the second feature production for Aliquot Films, an NYC independent film fund and production company founded by Jay Kubassek.

MESKADA will be shooting in Catskill, NY and the surrounding area during the month of June.

THEY MUST BE ABLE TO BE GREENE COUNTY, NY LOCAL HIRES OR TRAVEL TO GREENE COUNTY, NY FOR SHOOTING. THERE WILL BE NO REIMBURSEMENT FOR TRAVEL.

In Meskada County, class tension and resentment reaches a boiling point when a wealthy Hilliard child is killed during a house robbery gone wrong, and the main suspects' trail leads back to the downtrodden, dying factory town of Caswell...

This cop in his 30s to early 40s assists Noah and Leslie in combing the crime scene and finds cigarettes stubbed out in different ways, suggesting two killers.

[RONALD HARLIN]
Man in his 40s. This civil engineer attends the county board of commissioners' meeting and gives his input.

[COUNTY SHERIFF TOM BOWEN]
Caucasian man in his Mid 40s to Mid 50s. Authoritative and firm, he has Shane's body removed from the steps of the county courthouse and tells Noah that the situation doesn't reflect on him.

[DEPUTY #1]
This cop pulls up alongside Noah in his cruiser with a message from Police Chief Lindy...3 lines, 1 scene (90)

[COMMISSIONER #1]
Man in his 40s. This commissioner attending a board meeting discusses the possibility of clearing land from a nearby town and rezoning it.

[MEDICAL EXAMINER]
Man in his 50s. At the murder scene, this M.E. briefs Noah and Terrence on Toby's death.

[OFFICER]
Man in his 40s. This cop at the scene calls for Noah and illuminates car tracks with his flashlight.

[MAN #1]
Man in his 40s. At a tense town meeting, this Hilliard community member voices his disapproval of Noah's investigation.

[GUY AND GUY #2]
Men in their 20s. These young, fast suspects flee from Leslie and then corner her, viciously beating her until she manages to gain the upper hand.
