Sneak Peek at "The New Tenants" in Oscar Shorts Program

Audiences can grab a sneak peek at Academy Award-nominated short films in the Oscar Shorts Program. Begins in select theaters Feb. 19th.

Shorts International and Magnolia Pictures will once again join forces to release a program consisting of the live-action and animated short films nominated for the Academy Awards. 82nd Annual Academy Awards telecast on Sunday, March 7, 2010.

2010 Oscar Shorts – Live Action Program – total running time 92 min.

* “The Door” Juanita Wilson and James Flynn (Russian, 17 min.)
* “Instead of Abracadabra” Patrik Eklund and Mathias Fjellström (Swedish, 18 min.)
* “Kavi” Gregg Helvey (Hindi, 19 min.)
* “Miracle Fish” Luke Doolan and Drew Bailey (English, 18 min.)
* “The New Tenants” Joachim Back and Tivi Magnusson (English, 20 min.)

"Supreme Ruler" [2012]

Synopsis:  Supreme Ruler follows Steve (Morgan) as he  campaigns to become “Supreme Ruler” of his local Buffalo lodge. He soon  finds himself challenged by Hank Dory (D’Onofrio), an elder lodge member. To  gain more support, he travels to the Order’s annual convention in  Chicago where he befriends Nancy (Harden), a more established “Supreme  Ruler.”

Yoshiko takes it upon herself to solve the mystery about this man, especially when 2 police officers come knocking on their door.
