Oscar-Winner 'New Tenants' Heads Tribeca Shorts Lineup

The New Tenants,” which recently won the Academy Award for Best Live-Action Short, is among the 47 short films that will be shown at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival.

Joachim Back’s Oscar-wining black comedy (photo below) will be joined by shorts directed by Kirsten Dunst ("Bastard"), James Cromwell and Joshua Bell, and featuring performances by Anthony Hopkins, Harry Dean Stanton, Brian Geraghty, Mariska Hargitay, Sam Rockwell and Jesse Eisenberg, among others.

The films were selected from almost 3,000 submissions, and include a TFF-record 21 world premieres. They will be shown in six different, thematically-linked programs.

Seven are documentaries, while the 10 films in the “Experimental Collisions” program are documentary/narrative hybrids.
