The Greatest Detective: DETECTIVE GOREN!

Detective Goren is the winner of THE GREATEST DETECTIVE poll by the Hallmark Channel (UK)--
Thanks Val and Bobbybegood1!

"2010 is a big year for Law & Order - it's been 20 years since Dick Wolf first brought the series to our screens - and what a 20 years. Inspired by the huge success of the original, two fantastic new Law & Order series were created: Special Victims Unit and Criminal Intent. All 3 series have been full of drama and have featured extra special guest stars...however, the real stars of the shows are the detectives.

Without a doubt Law & Order has the finest crime cracking talent on our screens today... but just who is the greatest of all?

We have shortlisted 10 detectives from all 3 shows and are letting you vote on who you think is the best.

Thanks to every one who took part in our Law & Order at 20: Greatest Detective Poll. The poll is now closed, but you voted in your thousands for your Greatest Detective.

This Easter weekend self confessed Law & Order fanatic Ben Shephard (GMTV) will host a very special countdown featuring exclusive interviews with Law & Order cast members.

The countdown kicks off at 8pm this Saturday night, continues on Sunday and concludes on Bank Holiday Monday from 8pm when Ben will unveil your Greatest Detective.

I watched the last hour to find out and was so proud to see Gorens name there as number 1. They were showing Purgatory at the end, the one where he discovers the rat in his desk drawer. You see all the shades and colours of Gortens character in that one, and also the beauty of the partnership between Goren and Eames, and also VDO and Erbe.Thats a rare thing for two actors to so love their characters and each other. Real loyalty.

Goren will always be LOCI, not Nichols. His character IS the show
and at least the viewers recognise that.Goren is a special detective and VDO acted him far beyond the limitations of the show itself.

Vincent is just an astonishing and incredible actor. He and Kate took Law & Order: Criminal Intent to stardom. Wow! I, like Val, am extremely proud of Vincent and Kate. They both deserve all our accolades. They are both soooooo loved. They, too, must be proud of the outpouring of love, affection and tenderness bestowed upon them by the world. FOREVER GOREN. FOREVER EAMES.
