New Film: High Midnight

We have confirmed that Vincent has the role of Marshal Dallas Stoudenmire in upcoming horror western titled "High Midnight". IMDb lists the film for 2010 but we are told that the movie has not started filming and probably won't begin till next year.

Tagline: In the Wild West a lot of blood was spilled... but it didn't go to waste.

Synopsis: “Unforgiven” meets “Bram Stoker’s Dracula.” The story centers on a washed up sheriff who joins forces with an obsessed Victorian vampire hunter in order to stop an evil undead force from consuming a frontier town in 1892 New Mexico.

Starring: Vincent D'Onofrio, William Baldwin, Thomas Kretschmann, Ted Raimi, Taylor Nichols, Emilio Rivera, Kevin Weisman

How big is the part? He's not the washed up sheriff, he's the marshal.

"The Unforgiven" of the best Westerns! And "Tombstone"...and of course, the Spaghettis...with "Once Upon a Time in the West" as the triumph.

What are they going to do with it in "High Midnight" I wonder...not "High Noon",another brilliant film,eh?!

Me again enthusing over the possibilities of this new film.
"High Midnight" and relationship to "High Noon".

Camera focused on clock as it approaches noon.
Camera goes to holster and hand over gun.
Gary Cooper...Gary Cooper...or is it Goren!
Long shot from his holster of the enemy, the adversary.

Wow. that film was definitive early Western.
Will this "High Midnight" be something new in that tradition? With interesting visuals, like The Cell.

Works for me, I'd love to see Vincent in a western - in anything at all in fact! - I just wish the websites touting the picture would synchronise their facts; then again, it let's us play detective and compare notes ;0)
