Personally speaking, I think it sounds better as just 'The Irishman'!

If someone is trying for a 'Kill Bill' vibe, it's not working for me either...

There is another movie listed on the IMDB called - To Kill An Irishman

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1685674/

Listed for 2010 -

Perhaps someone confused this movie with Vincents?

As long as I get to see it, I don't care what they call it!

the book's name is "to Kill the Irishman" but the filme was to be called "The Irishman". Unfortunately, several other movies are to be released all called "the Irishman" all at the same time, so they had to change the title. There will be a documentary about the book called "to KIll the Irishman" coming out after the movie some time or close to it. Everything seems up in the air at this time.
