Vincent D'Onofrio is definitely coming back!

"CI" lives -- for one more year.

USA Network's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" is getting a tenth and final season.

The network has ordered eight episodes of the veteran spinoff, putting to rest whispers of its demise.

Jeff Goldblum, who replaced Chris Noth two years ago, has said he's not returning to the show. The actor originally cited "uncertainty" about the show's future as the reason he wanted out. But sources say the network is still in negotiations with several actors on the series. Vincent D'Onofrio is definitely coming back.

The crime procedural already did a major casting shakeup earlier this year, with D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian exiting the series and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio and Saffron Burrows joining.

"CI" was on the bubble during its summer run and the actors contracts expired in July. But USA struck a deal with creator Dick Wolf to bring yet another "L&O" series back from the brink.

“We have been the fortunate caretakers of this legendary series, and we plan to give it the world-class farewell it so richly deserves," said Jeff Wachtel, president original programming at USA. "Dick and his team promise to create a major event for television with incredible surprises. The plan is for this to be the series finale, but with a Dick Wolf franchise, one really never knows until it’s over.”

"I want to thank Bonnie and Jeff for bringing 'Criminal Intent' back for a tenth season,” Wolf said. “Only time will tell if this is a fond farewell or a renaissance for Detective Robert Goren but everyone both here and in New York is ecstatic about going back to work on a show that’s a passion for all of us. Signed, Brett Favre."
