I did these out of order, sorry everyone! This should have been first, he was introducing 5 Minutes Mr. Welles which was the first movie of the evening. Excellent short film, in my personal opinion, this one deserved the Oscar!
Vincent discusses why he made 5 Minutes Mr. Welles.
Vincent was asked what drives him to be creative.
Vincent was asked, as a filmmaker what are his favorite films. His answer was cute.
Vincent talking about his new project Johnny and Me and his character George Gerkie.
This is the best one! Vincent talks about Criminal Intent. I can't even describe it, you just have to watch. And of course I'm still giggling like an idiot! BTW, I work for NBC Universal and what he says IS VERY TRUE, General Electric DOES SUCK to work for!!!!
Vincent talking about shooting 5 Minutes Mr. Welles and introducing Don't Go In The Woods. This was SO CUTE! They accidentally started the movie while he was still talking, he handled it well though ;)
You can still hear me laughing like an idiot, sorry everybody!!
BTW EXCELLENT movie!! See it if at all possible.
Vincent talking about casting and music for his new movie Don't Go In The Woods. BTW, the movie was VERY good! Most of the music was excellent (thank you Sam Bisbee) and Mr. D'Onofrio's directing was brilliant as always.
Here are a few quotes of his ...Thanks Jenny!
"If you try to go beyond your interests just for the sake of pretensions or wealth, your art becomes less legitimate."

"Look, all you can do when you find your niche is go with it."

So, I am that much of a fan that I drove to a restaurant an hour away from my home to try to meet him ... twice!!! The FIRST VENTURE was fun, but ultimately unsuccessful. However, luck was on my side the second try and ... Voila ... we have met. I have shook his hand and told him how much I admire his work. And, I did so in my silly, giddy schoolgirlish way!
And to boot, I am actually posting a photo of myself with a slightly crazed look on my face and an annoying appearance from my double chin (usually I can find a way to hide it - but I was too stinkin' nervous to care). I am usually much more selective in what images of me make it out into public terrains, but seriously ... how could I NOT post this? And fyi, Bert has totally forgiven me for letting another man put his arm around me! Don't worry, I won't be making a habit of it, except he is coming to Utah again in April for a fundraising event ... hmmmmmmm!
So worth it!!!
And if you don't know who he is, THIS will tell you everything you need to know!
