Law and a double order of good life

The Daily Telegraph, 1.12.11

VINCENT D'Onofrio is one of the most enigmatic actors in Hollywood and he's clearly been in a good paddock since hanging up his badge in Law And Order: Criminal Intent late last year.

The acclaimed actor is in Sydney on his annual pilgrimage to spend time with his 17-year-old Australian daughter Leila, the product of his early '90s relationship with actress Greta Scacchi.

Father and daughter headed down to Bondi yesterday for a swim where the 51-year-old star -- who played Detective Goren in the crime series -- went unnoticed, except by photographers disguised as sandcrabs.

D'Onofrio spent time living in Coogee in the 1990s and knows this city well.

While his character dramatically left his precinct in the series before last, he will return for the final series, scheduled to air here next year.

Thanks Linda!

Saw this. I wish they'd used a picture from more recently than his last Ausiis TV interview!

I wish he'd visit Leila's home country of England. Who knows how long since he's been over here!
