Possible new film for Vincent?

Update 2.1.11 - Vincent is not listed in the cast of this film.

A source tells us that Vincent may have a role in a film titled "Savannah" about a bigger-than-life hunter named Ward Allen and his friendship with a freed slave named Christmas Moultrie, to be directed by filmmaker Annette Haywood-Carter. The film will be shot entirely on location in Savannah, GA. Casting is currently underway and principal photography is expected to begin February 14th. (or possibly Feb 25)

Storyline -- The true story of Ward Allen, a white aristocrat, and Christmas Moultrie, a freed slave, in the early 1900's. Ward Allen was a romantic naturalist in the vein of Thoreau, an aristocrat who turned his back on a life of material comfort to become a market hunter. He and Christmas Moultrie became business partners, confidantes and life-long friends and together they tried to navigate the vicissitudes of social, industrial, environmental and personal change that threatened their way of life.

We're told that his role would be that of Jack Cay --
..tow-headed and bespectacled, with a big warm smile that causes people to love him, Jack is a long-time admirer of freed slave, Christmas Moultrie* . As a boy, he used to listen to Christmas' stories about life on the river, and now feels it his duty to look after the older man. The father of a ten year old boy, Jack feels it is incumbent upon him to raise his son in the tradition of his family, but learns from Christmas to look beyond set notions into the heart of his son.

We have not yet been able to confirm his involvement in this film. We'll post an update if available.

The synopsis sound very interesting. The more movies with Vincent the better. Can't wait for more news and information.

He's wonderful, but even Vincent can't be filming 8 episodes of LOCI in New York AND shooting a movie in Georgia at the same time....

Oooo, this is juicy piece of info. Hope we find out more soon.

Filming CI and a film? That's what we thought too but it was suggested that his filming would be done on weekends and we don't know how large the role is. We'll see.

Just so long as he doesn't wind up falling over from over-doing it again. Afterall there's no 'split shift' on LOCI to alleviate the work load this time, and although it's only 8 episodes, if they're on the same schedule as before, that's 8 days work for each one (not counting the weekends).

As you say, we'll see :0)

Yeah, if his role is small, he could finish his entire shoot in a few days, or as theReel suggests, a couple/few weekends.
