Casting Call - Law & Order: CI episode 10.08 “To The Boy in the Blue Knit Cap”

[SERENA MARGOLIS] Female, 28 – 32, any ethnicity. A beauty with a slightly awkward manner and a mind for computers, she is the inventor of a hugely popular dating website – which has now embroiled her in a nasty lawsuit with other parties who claim they were truly behind it. When one of her former business associates is discovered murdered in her office, she falls under suspicion of the crime.

[REX TAMLYN] Male, 28 – 32, any ethnicity. Rock star charisma & appetites. Though he is a gifted internet entrepreneur with a great instinct for promotion, he is also a serious coke addict who spends most of his time in nightclub VIP rooms. After partnering with Serena Margolis to help promote her website and take it to the next level, he was the driving force behind elbowing out the original partners, making him the target of much animosity.

[PJ SAMUELS] Male, 28 – 32. A dreamy, down to earth hipster who is the boyfriend of internet entrepreneur Serena Margolis, and the spokesman for her dating website – as the original respondent to her “missed connections” style ad, he makes a perfect face for the company. Despite his pleasant façade, he is carrying some secrets which ultimately land him in the interrogation room.

[SAMIR DAS] Male, 28 – 32, Indian. Hyper-intelligent venture capitalist, he is a party to the lawsuit against internet entrepreneur Serena Margolis.

[PARKER] Male, 28 – 32. Athletic Princeton-educated douche. Embroiled in a lawsuit against the woman he claims stole his idea for an internet start up, which she has now transformed into a hugely profitable & successful company.

[HILDY WHITMORE] Female, 22 – 26, Midwestern. Moved to New York 2 years ago and now works as a secretary to the head of a hot new internet company. Apparently sweet-natured, she is ultimately not as innocent as she appears.

[FRANK LEMKIN] Male, 28 – 32. Nerdy cute & soft-spoken.

[HARRIS] Male, 60s, patrician, old money. An extremely wealthy man who fought to amass his fortune, he is devastated after a death in the family.

[EFRAIM MILBANK] Male, 50s. Founding partner of one of the most prestigious law firms in New York.

[BOUNCER] Male. An imposing figure working the door of the hottest nightclub in town.

[PASSERBY] Male or female, 28 – 32, any ethnicity. An enthusiastic fan of a wildly popular dating website.

[GILBANE TWINS] Male, 28 – 32, athletic & Ivy League educated. They hail from an extremely wealthy background. One twin is obnoxious, aggressive, and litigious, while the other is much more reasonable and gentlemanly. (Twins on-screen interaction is limited - role could be played by two actor twins, or one actor with a twin willing to work as a double)

[JANITOR] Male, 40's, any ethnicity, working class. Arriving at work in the early dawn, he is shocked to discover a corpse.
