Voltage sparks sales on Don Jon, Charlie Countryman


EXCLUSIVE: Ascot Elite has acquired German-speaking rights to Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut Don Jon’s Addiction as Nicolas Chartier announced pre-Cannes sales on this and Shia LaBeouf action-comedy The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman.
Deals closed in Australia and New Zealand (Roadshow), Portugal (Lusomundo), Scandinavia (Mislabel), Middle East (Gulf), Latin America (Imagem), Hong Kong (Deltamac), Singapore (Shaw), Tawan (SSG), South Korea (Noori), South Africa (Ster Kinekor), CIS (Paradise), Eastern Europe (Blue Sky), Turkey (Kalinos), Canada (Remstar), Iceland (Samfilm), Israel (Forum), India (Pictureworks) and Indonesia (PT Amero).

Gordon-Levitt (pictured) reunites with his Looper producer Ram Bergman on Don Jon’s Addiction, which is set to commence production in Los Angeles on Monday (21) and stars Gordon-Levitt as a porn-addict alongside Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore.

The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman will kick off on May 21 in Romania. Fredrik Bond will direct LaBeouf alongside Mads Mikkelsen, Melissa Leo, James Buckley, Rupert Grint, Vincent D’Onofrio and Evan Rachel Wood. Voltage is producing with Bona Fide Productions and Moby will score the film.

Romania!!! Doesn't Vincent stay home in New York anymore. Now I'm really mad at NBC for not staying with "Blue Tilt." Then at least he would have been able to stay in New York with his family.

Good cast. Melissa Leo was on Criminal Intent, remember?

I am also disappointed about 'Blue Tilt'. I like good cop shows and VDO & Hawke are a proven duo.

Last time Vincent filmed in Romania was for Case of Evil back in 2001 -interesting cast though. Its a pity about Blue Tilt too especially since he was working out for the role too.
