D'Onofrio Family wins first prize in Sand Sculpting contest in Coney Island

Vincent D'Onofrio and his brood won first prize July 21, 2012 in the Coney Island Sand Sculpting contest.

Luka, of Manhattan, stands on a sand pile near his family whose pirate themed sculpture took 1st place in the mixed kids and adults division on July 21, 2012.

Luka's curls are gone, probably for the hot summer. Elias is no longer a little guy either. Good Job. Nice to see the family together!

Congratulations, D'Onofrio family. Luca got so big. Is that Elias in the green shirt, Carin in the cap and Leila with sort of a top on? Wonder who everyone was?

Isn't littl'un's name spelt Luca? I thought that when I saw it on the original publicity. That's the Italian way.
