New Film: "Homefront", Casting ongoing

Vincent D'Onofrio will appear in a Millenium Films action thriller,  Homefront as murderous drug czar 'Danny T'.   The film will be directed by Gary Fleder, who directed the episode of Homicide: Life on the Street titled "Subway" for which D'Onofrio was nominated for an Emmy.   Written by Sylvester Stallone.

Synopsis: Undercover drug agent Phil Broker falls afoul of murderous drug czar DANNY T, who blames Broker for the death of his son in a drug raid. From behind prison bars, Danny T is determined to have Broker tracked down and killed. Meanwhile, Broke has gone to ground in a sleepy rural community with his little girl, KIT, who is still reeling from the recent death of her mother, Broker's wife. Broker and Kit just want to live their lives in peace, but Kit's run-in with a bully at her school triggers a chain of unfortunate circumstances that alerts local meth dealer GATOR and his partner SHERYL to the presence of Broker in their town. And when the low-life duo decide to rat Broker out to Danny T, Broker and Kit's "peaceful" new life takes a cataclysmic turn.

Casting for speaking roles and extras for this film is currently underway.  Film wraps on Nov. 26.

Role of DANNY T:  Male, 40s, this "ferocious brute" of a drug lord is livid with rage when Broker busts up his drug empire, leaving him in prison and his son dead. From behind bars, he tries to orchestrate Broker's murder -- but his thirst for vengeance may backfire on him.

Once again a "baddie" but at least he is working and is not filming with Lynch. Not that I have anything against her, but nice to see him associated with someone else. Godd luck to all concerned with the film.

It does sound a little like Fire with Fire, however, I love Vincent as a bad guy, so I will definitely want to see this :)

Does Vincent ever take a vacation? I'm glad that he is working again with the director from "The Subway," but yes, too many bad guys. I loved the character Gus in "Crackers." Wouldn't it have been great to make that into a series.

Another bad guy, what a pity. Still at least he is keeping busy although I bet he would like to take a brake once in a while. Gary Fleder also directed Imposter as well.
