50 Best TV Shows on Netflix: Marvel's Daredevil destroys the field!

It hasn’t even been a full day since Marvel’s Daredevil was released on Netflix, and I’m already willing to crown Daredevil as one of the 50 Best TV shows on Netflix.

I know some of you haven’t even started the series, which is more than understandable. You’re not all Netflix animals; I get that. I’ll make sure I don’t spoil anything for any of you.

Set in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, Marvel’s Daredevil is the story of Matt Murdock, a man who was blinded by radioactive chemicals as a child, who fights crime and is “just trying to make his city a better place.” A defense attorney by day, Murdock takes to the streets as a masked vigilante “looking” for someone who needs his assistance and particular set of skills.

As the most highly anticipated Netflix original series, Marvel’s Daredevil does not disappoint. Unlike Bloodline, House of Cards, or even Orange is the New Black, Daredevil wastes no time getting into the action with a killer fight sequence in the first scene.

Beneath all the great action sequences, the actors and their performances are really, really good. Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson is my favorite character in the entire series. Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple the Night Nurse is also really good and so is Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page.

The performance that stands out the most, though, is obviously Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin. I don’t know if it’s D’Onofrio’s best performance ever, but I also can’t imagine anyone else playing this role as well as he does. It’s almost as if it was tailor-made for him.

If you like action and crime, Daredevil is going to be your next binge-watch!

Elsewhere on Netflix, the fourth season of Louie was added to Netflix.  Because Season 4 is one of the best seasons of Louis C.K.’s series, Louie shot up the rankings and cracked the top 20 TV shows on Netflix for the first time. Unfortunately, Skins (U.K.) was bumped from the Netflix Top 50.

I just love Vincent getting the praise that he deserves. Of all his great roles, it seems a comic book character has awakened many people to Vincent.
